An optional and low cost economical animal registration concept for Dorper and White Dorper Ewes has been introduced by the Australian DorpeR & White Dorper Association (ADWDA).
ADWDA President, Neil Gadsden, states that the Association is conscious of ever increasing costs to stud sheep breeders and as a result has introduced a low fee structure and optional ewe registration concept to assist its members.
A first for Dorper and White Dorper breeders, the new ewe registration concept includes the option for members to only register dams of potential sires or sale animals. Registration of all ewes will no longer be compulsory.
A new online registration/transfer program is currently under development to replace the existing system operated by the Secretariat and enable an efficient, easy-to-use online recording system. Online ewe registration fees have been set at $2.20 (including GST) with rams costing $6.60 (including GST). Members will continue to have the opportunity to submit registrations to the Association Secretary for processing however a higher registration fee will be incurred.
The Association will also be holding its first major event - the Inaugural National Dorper & White Dorper Classic Sale - at Wagga Wagga Showground, NSW on Tuesday 11th September 2012 commencing at 1:00pm.
The Sale will feature the best of Australian Dorper & White Dorper seedstock with high quality animals being offered by top line breeders from all states of Australia.
