ADWDA and ProWay Sheep Handling Equipment hosted a field day on 12th August 2011 at the Rangeland White Dorper Stud in Yawong Springs, via St Arnaud, Victoria.

Up to 300 people attended the day from 10am to 3pm, travelling from SA, NSW and Victoria to see sheep handling equipment from ProWay Livestock Equipment (sponsors of the day) and other equipment manufacturers.

Sheep were available for demonstration on all equipment on show, including:

  • ProWays - 3 stand Burbridge sawtooth shearing shed
  • ProWays - steel sheep yards, featuring bugle draft, raised classing race and curved adjustable sheep race with rotary force
  • ProWays - sheep bulk handler
  • Prattley - Tru Test sheep autodrafter
  • Holland - sheep lifter
  • Combi Clamp - sheep handler
  • Hecton - sheep handling equipment
  • Racewell - sheep handling equipment
  • Action Steel Sheds - Supplier of 30m x 18m shed

Lots of useful ideas and information were discussed and absorbed by attendees, and exhibitors gained multiple sales and interest from producers who attended.

Displays and information of Dorper and White Dorper sheep were of interest on the ADWDA information sites.

ProWay's involvement provided for the opportunity for producers to enhance their livestock enterprises.

Morning and afternoon tea and a BBQ lunch were supplied on the day.
